Genesis 3:8
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees.
Life Lesson
Today’s word (Word Of Reflection Daily) begins after Satan, disguised as a serpent, tempts Eve. It begins also after Adam and Eve eat some forbidden fruit.
In meditating over today’s passage several thoughts come to mind. First, for me (and perhaps you too), guilt and shame usually follow having done wrong or knowingly disobeyed God. For instance, it could be something like not having more patience with someone, possibly talking behind someone’s back, maybe saying something in retaliation we later regret, conceivably not forgiving (quickly, often, always), perhaps tolerating unresolved sin or maybe placing condition(s) on love when we shouldn’t. Second, only the foolhardy (me most definitely included) believe we can hide from our almighty all-seeing and all-knowing God. To further think our heavenly Father doesn’t know what we say , what we do or know our every thought. Third, it was through Adam and Eve’s sin that caused them to hide and break their relationship with God. However, regardless of what they did notice it was God’s intent and desire out of love to be with them.
Hence, my take away today is to quickly resolve sin (a no-win situation) by repenting and asking for forgiveness. Why? To restore a broken relationship damaged by sin. And, to renew, refresh and strengthen the relationship with our heavenly father who loves us regardless of faults, despite shortcomings and unconditionally.

Amen!
Repentance, heartfelt repentance so important<3
