Exodus 4:2
Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?” “A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied.
Life Lesson
Today’s word (Word Of Reflection Daily) begins after the God instructs Moses to tell the leaders of Israel that He appeared in the burning bush. It is here wherein Moses protests with God again saying in Verse 1, “…“What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?””
In meditating over today’s passage the thought which comes to mind is when it comes to God everything is possible and nothing is impossible. Even the mundane, common, everyday and ordinary can become extraordinary, remarkable, incredible, amazing and yes even miraculous. Who would think a simple wooden shepherd’s staff, used for walking, herding/guiding sheep, killing snakes. etc. would wield such power when God decides to use it for his purpose and plan.
Hence, my take away today is challenging myself often in asking what ordinary thing(s) in my life can God use and turn into something extraordinary. To be used for kingdom work, for his glory and for spreading/sharing the Good News. Perhaps it could it be something simple and everyday as in writing, in speaking and/or in singing? Moreover, it is going forth and doing in action. By actually using whatever it might be in obedience and in faith.

Amen! God takes the insignificant & makes it significant!
