Genesis 24:12
“O Lord, God of my master, Abraham,” he prayed. “Please give me success today, and show unfailing love to my master, Abraham.
Life Lesson
Today’s word (Word Of Reflection Daily) begins after Abraham, a very old man, instructs his oldest servant to not let Isaac marry a local Canaanite woman.
In meditating over today’s passage the thought which comes to mind is Eliezer, like his master, shows dependent faith by asking (God) for guidance. And, like him, we too should seek guidance when confronted and faced with an important undertaking or pivotal endeavor. Also, we need to remember and be aware of the fact that family and friends pay more attention to what we do than what we say. Our actions do speak louder than words. In essence, we need to ensure they are learning dependent faith from and by watching us on our knees in prayer seeking wisdom, guidance and direction. Not only be for the big decisions but rather for all decisions, undertaking and tasks instead.
Hence, my take away today is to reflect on often and as necessary Genesis 15:6 which says, “And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith.”
Good Stuff : )
Thank and bless you brother Ken!
