2 Corinthians 11:6
I may be unskilled as a speaker, but I’m not lacking in knowledge. We have made this clear to you in every possible way.
Life Lesson
Today’s word (Word Of Reflection Daily) begins as Paul addresses false apostles. Actually referring to them as “Super Apostles”. Those who preach about a different Jesus from the one he preaches about, a different Spirit from the one sent by and received from God and a different gospel from the one they first believed.
In meditating over today’s passage the thought which comes to mind is substance over style or SOS. In other words preaching, teaching and sharing God’s word like Paul wherein he finds common ground and is more concerned with content and simplicity can perhaps be more important and possibly much more effect than presentation from an eloquent/highly skilled speaker or orator. Even our Lord Jesus Christ realized the power of SOS as affirmed in 1 Corinthians 1:17 which says, “For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News—and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.” We actually see this in many churches today. Where God’s Word seems to be overshadowed, takes a back seat and sometimes even lost in the midst of music, dance, skits, lights, camera, video highlights, etc. Even affecting the actual message where it receives less and less service time. Don’t get me wrong, I truly enjoy praise and worship time which includes music and dance. However, I do personally tend to prefer a more simplistic and minimalist approach, where less can be more. Where emphasis is focused more on Him instead of the perception of it being placed on man.
Hence, my take away today is remembering a simple, clear, concise and succinct presentation can be more helpful to listeners. And, remembering also that it may therefore better enable them to understand the gospel. In essence where less is more and substance over style (SOS) can be of greater value.
I enjoyed this immensely. Such a good word. You are a blessing need to tell my brother Wes this once in a while. Lol. I will share. Blessings, Elena

Ok will do ☀!
I finally got to hear it. Beautiful guitar. It reminded me of a friend, I had years ago. He played guitar, very well, and we would practice, and I would sing, our hopes to become famous. But God had other plans. Thanks for letting me be a part to see the beauty of your grand baby. She really is beautiful. I sense great plans for her, just in her beauty. God will open doors. You are a kind grandpa to do that. Blessings dear brother. Elena
