Hebrews 3:13
You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.
Life Lesson
Today’s word (Word Of Reflection Daily) begins with the author saying in Verse 3, “Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses.” Using the analogy of house and builder wherein saying, builder not the building, should get the recognition and praise.
In meditating over today’s passage the thoughts which comes to mind and speaks deeply into my heart are knowing and believing without doubt God’s word because He is the builder of everything. Genesis 1:1 affirms this by saying, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Also, Psalm 33:6 says, “The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.” Moreover, to prevent possible unbelieving and potential hardening of hearts, especially with temptation surrounding us, false teachings & deceit every present and sinful nature part of our DNA, through fellowship with, by edifying and by encouraging others who believe also. In other words, helping one another.
Hence, my take away is summarized in Psalm 95:7 which says, “for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!” Also, reflecting on often and never forget what happened to the Israelites who disobeyed. In Psalm 95:8-11 “The Lord says, “Don’t harden your hearts as Israel did at Meribah, as they did at Massah in the wilderness. For there your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw everything I did. For forty years I was angry with them, and I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’ So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’””
wow : )
Thanks again Ken!
